Bernie Madoff, who stole a lot of money from people using a scheme, got sentenced today for 150 years in prison, so basically he will be in prison for the rest of his life. That sucks, all for what? Money? Does money matter so much that you have to con people out of it just to live the high life? For me no, it will never mean that much. The judge over the Madoff case, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin, said he needed to send a clear message to any others out there doing this, that this will not be tolerated.
"Here the message must be sent that Mr. Madoff's crimes were extraordinarily evil and that this kind of manipulation of the system is not just a bloodless crime that takes place on paper, but one instead that takes a staggering toll," Chin said.
His schemes impacted many, and many people lost money, even big namers like Steven Spielberg and Kevin Bacon. Think he got the message? Do Not Mess With Other People's Money!!!!
