Eagle Eye

I watched the DVD of this movie on Sunday, and I personally thought that this was a great movie. Staring Shia Labouf, Michelle Monaghan, and Billy Bob Thorton, it takes us through a action packed series of sequences right up to the end. We start off by learning a little about a the character played by Shia Labouf, Jerry Shaw, and that his twin brother Ethan had died in a car accident. This starts the setup for the main part of the story, why Jerry has been "activated" as they call it. When he comes home to find several items that would label him as a terrorist, his phone rings to let him know he has been "activated" and that the police will be there soon. He continues on this journey meeting up with Michelle Monaghan character, Rachel, and everywhere they go the person on the other side of the phone knows where they are and what they are doing and saying. Even people around them are helping them out through messages they recieve through thier phones. The FBI are in pursuit and we learn the person behind the phone is not a person at all, but actually a computer designed to listen to all phone conversations, all news feeds, all camera feeds, everything that it can connect to to try and find terrorist suspects in America and determine it's threat levels. Ethan, Jerry's twin, was working on the computer when it decided to put in place it's plan to kill several members of the line of succession of the presidency at the Stat of the Union speech in order to put into postition who the computer would be best to lead the country. It needed Jerry toturn off the command that was stoping it from doing that. Over all this movie was great, and I really enjoyed it as it was a different pace than most, and would reccomend it to anyone to watch.
