Transformers: Dark of the Moon

This one is going to be awesome, and greater than the last one. The reason? We finally see the Ark, the ship that brought the Dececpticons and Autobots to Earth in the cartoons.(at least that is what I am assuming) It is using the moon landing as a way of showing how we visited it(this one crashes on the moon and not the Earth) as a secret mission. It looks like it will have a similar story to how the it did in the cartoons, but probably with a different group of transformers.

Pirates Beware! Michael Jackson Game on DS

The new Michael Jackson game on the Nintendo DS comes with a bit of a surprise if you try to play an illegal copy of the game.

That's right, the same horns that drove us crazy watching soccer this summer during the games of the FIFA matches. The makers of the game, Ubisoft, has added the anti piracy code to the game in order to stop illegal downloads. While they are not the first to do this for DS games, adding in codes to check and see if it is a legal copy, they definitely take the cake at making it annoying for those that try to play it illegally.

It is deterrents like this that will help keep pirates down and help keep game makers making awesome games.

Being in College and my son in school I frequently visit Office Depot to pick up some supplies that we might need from notebooks to pens. Sometimes we visit just to look around and see what is new. I know recently we purchased some permanent markers with fine tips for various projects around the house from labeling and school projects. Usually when we go we do not have any type of discounts in mind or have any Office Depot coupons in hand, we just go to shop. While I do not usually shop online, finding these Office Depot discount code deals is awesome as I can look online and find what I want and get save some money with the coupon. Since I have been needing a new desk, as I currently do not have one, I quickly went to the furniture part of the site and found a desk and a chair that would be perfect for me. There was already instant savings applied and when I went to check out using the Office Depot Coupon Codes there was an additional $30 taken off the price. Awesome!

I found these codes on a site called Bestonlinecoupons.com, where you are sure to find plenty of other coupons for online shopping site. I think this might turn me to shop online a bit more often if I can find great deals like these for Office Depot for other shopping sites.

First we find out that Ryan Reynolds was named the sexiest man alive and now I see the first glimpse at the new Green Lantern Movie.

This looks really good. I must admit that I am not that much of a DC fan and did not read the comics, but this movie looks like it will really be great, and I hope that it does well for Ryan and the gang.

Black Friday 2010

It is almost here, and many places are trying to jump the gun by giving out deals. There are so many places of business right now trying to get a dollar or two out of you that it would be impossible to list, so I am not going to even try. Just do a Google Search on Black Friday Deals and you will come up with a list.

One thing to remember though is that some of these deals are not really deals. They are hard to spot, but sometimes they can get you to buy something that is not a large amount of money off like they are saying. Sometimes the deal is really good, like on a computer or laptop. The problem with those is that they usually only have 1 or 2 sent to the store, so unless you are the first one there you don't get it. They do this to lure you in, and since you are already there you might find another deal you want.

Another thing to remember is that don't overspend. Yeah that deal may sound to good to pass up, so you decide to put off a couple of bills to get that new TV. However in the end you have to pay a double bill next month and there goes your budget for something else.

I cannot say that I do not go to the sales and try to get something every now and then, I do. I still have some movies I bought from last year that I have not watched yet.

Minecraft

You want to talk about a timekiller, this game is it!

In Minecraft you mine for things and then craft things out of them, there is a lot of sites out there that explain how to do them all. In the alpha version of the game you can fight mosters, skeletons or whatever you want to call them, more on that though in a minute. The game is pretty straight forward using the wasd keys to move and using the mouse to mine and place objects. While the graphics of the game might seem a little low, you can get texture packs to help enhance the game.

A couple of terms to know are:

Griefing: breaking other peoples places or work that they have done just because you can. Some servers have an anti grief in place, some do not. You can really tell the difference.

Spleefing: is a game where players go to the top of the map on a built platform and try to erase the blocks below other individuals.

There are two different versions of the game, alpha and classic.

Classic: FREE TO PLAY!!! That is the great news, the bad news is that a lot of the servers are either griefed or locked so that you cannot build anything until you get permission by the server owners. So be warned to build at your own risk of your stuff being destroyed. Most of the griefed servers players play spleefing. Griefing is defined as breaking other peoples places that they build. You can run your own server if you like, the program is on the site. I started out building here and built an awesome wooden cabanna in the sky, but the server went down. This version all the blocks are free, and you don't have to mine for them.

Alpha: You have to pay for this version, but the good news is it is cheap, and it is half off what the creator will charge once the game is finished. Currently the price with the discount it 9.99 Euros, about $15 for US dollars. This version is alot different than alpha. First off I must say that if you don't want to get attacked by monsters at night, then go to options and change the settings to peaceful. Everything you want to build with, you have to mine for it, and you have to get the tools to do so, by mining. There are plenty of caves to explore for easy minerals to forge, but you need some light, so you will need torches. I could go on, but the best way to figure things out is to check out the many wiki sites out there for it. The map is larger than classic, and this also has a way to create portals to the nether world, where it is even more dangerous. The online play is exactly the same and single player, only you can team up with other players to build some impressive stuff.

All in all this game is addicting, and worth the money to play both online and single player.,

For-Profit Colleges Facing Lawsuits

I told everyone way back in my earlier days of this blog, for profit colleges are only there for that, profit, and do not care about your education. Sure you can probably learn alot from these places, but you have to be careful about the degree you earn and if the credits can be transferred.

I suggest a community college or junior college, and do some research and do not take a recruiters word for whatever they say.

In my case they kept pushing the fact that the books were free. I checked into the price for a junior college with books and a for profit college for a associates degree, and the for profit was about 20K more than the junior college. Books are expensive, no doubt, but they are not 20K expensive.

I will not say you cannot get a great education from one of these places, just make sure you really look into them and do some research.

TRON: Legacy

This movie is going to be great, or at least I hope it is. If it is not I will be greatly dissapointed. I have been waiting for a sequel or remake for years now and I got a sequel, which is excellent.

From what I gather, basically Flynn(from the first movie) somehow went back into the computer world, and this time he got trapped there, by the same program he designed. His some somehow gets sucked into it and I am sure is there to be the Saviour.

Back are the light bikes and a few extras that I loved from the first movie, as well as the light suits.

This movie is due out Dec17th, I cannot wait!

I went and seen this movie this weekend and thought it was pretty good, what I could see of it. My son was there with me and he has a short attention span, so once the popcorn and juice was gone, his interest with the movie was gone as well, but that is just the way he is. Overall this movie was pretty good, it started off with your basic good vs evil scenario, and had it's funny moments. The twist with this movie is that the bad guy wants to be a good guy though, and that is what this movie is about, the bad guy finding his way to be a good guy, with some laughs in between. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10.

Clash of the Titans Remake

If you look at this movie in the context that it is a new movie, it is pretty good if you have not previously seen the original.

If you seen the original and are expecting it to be an updated version of the story, you will be disappointed.

This movie roughly follows the same story as the first movie. It follows Perseus on his travels to save Andromeda. There are a few things that are the same after that, but for the most part the movie does it's own thing. Shame really, cause I enjoyed the first movie a lot, and this movie was ok, but not comparable to the first.

The acting was good in it though, so it has that going for it.

I give it a 6 out of 10 simple because it cannot compete with the original story.

Open Feint Game of the Day: Fly Control

I tested out this game for the Iphone today. In this game you are basically a flight controller and the fly are your airplanes while the piles of poo are the fuel, and the flys need fed. The object of the game that I gathered is to try and keep the fly's from running into each other, because when you do they start fighting and then the round is over. Using your finger, you make a flight path for the fly's to the poo, once they land on it they go from there off screen. More and more fly's keep coming, so the challenge gets harder and harder as time goes on and more fly's are introduced. The only gripe I had about this game is no in game instructions, even on the iTunes app store site there is no instructions for the game. As simple of a game as it is, it still needs some sort of instructions.

Today was my wife's birthday, and as I do every year I struggled on what to get her as when she wants something we get it for her. Ya she is a bit spoiled, but we are still married after 10 years so something is working right.

Suddenly I had this idea that popped in my head. She has been addicted to Farmville as of late and they now sell the farm cash at GameStop stores. A quick birthday card with 2 $10 dollar farmville cards and we have the perfect gift.

She was very happy with it.

Lucky me huh, another year went by and another year saved by the skin of my teeth.

Thor Picture Released

So far looking good. The actor portraying Thor is Chris Hemsworth, who recently played George Kirk, the father of James T. Kirk in the newest Star Trek movie. I really liked his acting in that movie, even though it was short lived.

Also he will be acting in the remake of Red Dawn as well.

I'm a little on the fence about the movie myself, but for the most part, it was really done well, and brought you into the world we remembered as children watching the cartoon. There was a few cheesy moments in the movie but that aside there was a lot of action and looked as though it was done nicely. One of my few and only complaints about the movie was the CG, at some points you could really tell they were walking from a green screen to a set, and I like more seamless type stuff than that. The acting in the movie was good, and Marlon Wayans did better than I thought he would as an action guy in the movie. It is a bit of an origin movie as well, giving the back grounds on popular figures form back in the day like StormShadow and Snake Eyes. I give this movie a 8 out of 10 because it was good for the most part, there is jsut a few things I would have like seen changed, but overall is a good movie to watch and a good movie to take the kids to see as well.

Billy Mays Death Caused by Cocaine

Billy Mays, everyones favorite seller, was found dead just over a month ago in his home, and no one could have even thought of the reason why. Cocaine. The drug was found in his system that he used it a few days before his death, and although he had a heart disease, it was the cocaine that caused his death according to the coroner. Sad, and the family didn't even know he was using the drug, let alone the rest of us in the world.

Twitter Hacked and Attacked!

On Thursday you might have tried to get online to tweet some things on twitter, however you were not able to get on and were getting a denial of service message. The reason being is that hackers apparently was the cause of this. Using their computer to send commands to other computers who in turns used other computers logging onto the site basically overloaded the server and not allowing normal traffic to the site. Now obviously this was not just 20-30 computers, these hackers had to have access to thousands of computers to pull this off I am assuming for it to work like it did, and with virtually every computer connected to the internet, would not be that hard to do. Make sure to run your virus protection!!!

Knowing DVD Movie Review

This movie was disappointing as well, it stars Nicolas Cage(who seems not to be turning down any script these days) and is about a guy whose son finds a code in a time capsule and he has figured it out. Sounds good right? Knowing every major disaster that is going to happen in the world before it does so you can avoid it? Well, yes it would be, unfortunately for him though there is only three left in the code, and then it ends with the end of the world. That sucks. now before you think that I gave away the entire movie, you are wrong, there are other twists to it, and what I just wrote about you figure out pretty quickly in the movie. In fact the movie was really good and had me on the edge of my seat right up until the end, and then that is when it sucked. A cheesy ending in my opinion, or the easy way out on it I should say, without giving anything away on the end, it just ruined the whole film for me. I give this movie a 7 out of 10 because of the ending, if not for that it would have been a 8 or 9.

This movie looked interesting and action packed, but in actuality it was a little boring. What made this movie so boring to me? It was because I expected a good action packed movie about people with powers, however what I got was not that. The action that was there was not what I expected, I expected there to be a lot more, but most of it was quick, and over with too soon. The plot line made sense to me, but again, what I was really looking for in this movie was not a lot of drama and dialog, but rather a lot of action and seeing people use these powers. Again, I was disappointed with the movie, but it was not entirely a bad movie as the special effects were good. I give this movie a 6 out of 10.

Beastie Boys Has Cancer, Cancels Tour, and Postpone New Album

A recent release has announced that Adam 'MCA' Yauch of the Beastie Boys was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland tumor, which is located near his left parotid (salivary) gland. I am not for sure where that is in the body, as I am not a medical professional, however I see salivary glad and think that it is somewhere in the mouth or throat. Good news is that the tumor was caught early on and will be taken care of, and will not harm his vocal chords. Beastie Boys' upcoming tour has been canceled presumably because they are wanting to give Adam some time to heal and recover from this. Also their upcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 has been postponed as well, again probably to allow Adam to heal so they can finish it up later. Good Luck Adam, as actors and musicians seem to have the bad luck here lately.

After a long day at work and play, who does not like to sit back and relax a little bit? I work a second shift job and usually do not get home until late and usually am never ready for bed because I need to stop and let my body relax some. Yes, the stories of the detective that some of us have read and some of us have only heard of, is coming to life in a full featured movie. It will star Robert Downey Jr.(who seems to be getting some good gigs lately) as Sherlock Holmes, and looks to be very well done by the trailer, and will not be some thrown together movie just to cash in on the name. I hope to see some good things from this movie, and I am sure we will see his arch nemesis in it as well.

Jorja Fox returns to 'CSI'

That's right folks, just last year Grissom played by William Petterson left the show, and we thought that there was going to be a happy ending between the two as he met up with her out in the jungle somewhere. Well, all that appears to be a shattered story now as Sarah, played by Jorja Fox, is returning to CSI. She is contracted a deal to return for some episodes, though I do not know exactly how many, but it appears that in the first episode of the new season we will find out as it is reported to be about what has happened. Can't wait since I enjoy this CSI show, and though I did not think it would still be as good with Grissom gone, the character that Larwence Fishburne plays really fills the gap and makes me not want to miss Grissom anymore.

DVD Movie Review: The Haunting in Connecticut

I really enjoyed this movie, and it is based on a true story. It is about a family, whose oldest son has some sort of cancer(it never says what kind) and move closer to the hospital where he is getting a new trial treatment. They move into a house that used to be a funeral home, that they did not find out until after moving in. The boy with the cancer starts seeing things, strange things from the past that appear to have happened inside this house.The story continues this way and all ends up with a good dramatic ending. Really good story, even if it is not really true. I give this movie a 8 out of 10 because there were a few times when the movie was a little slow going, but it is still a good watch.

Finally a Car with Air Conditioning!

A few years ago I lived in Florida, and it was hot as all get out. In fact there was days it was so hot you would be mad simply because it was hot. Someone would see you and see that you were mad and ask what was wrong, you would just simply throw your hat down and exclaim that it is hot, that is what I am mad about. Unfortunately for me I had an older car that at one time had air conditioning but apparently the air conditioning compressor stopped working some time before I bought it. It was ok when ti was cool, but in those warm days in Florida all that would blow in your face was more hot air, hence making you madder because it was hot. SO I would drive around with the windows down flipping the air conditioner switch hoping that it would start working, but it did not. The final straw was when the windows would no longer lower because the mechanism went out. OMG, talk about hot, I would be drenched with sweat before could even make it to work. I decided to get a new car and did, and the one thing I had to make sure it had was air conditioning, because I was no longer going to live in the days of cavemen when we had none, I was moving into the future. Fortunately for me, all cars come equiped with Air Conditioning, and I am good until the air conditioning compressor goes out on this one.

DVD Movie Review: InkHeart

I rented and watched this movie last night because I wanted to see it, and yes the DVD has been out for a little while now so I am a little late on watching it. This movie is about a guy who can bring books to life by reading them, they call these type of people Silvertounges. It starts off a little slow, introducing a few characters and the main character Mo, played by Brendan Fraiser, and his power to bring books to life. We are also introduced to his infant daughter and his wife. Flash Forward 10-13 years later, and we see Mo and his now teenage daughter looking for a old book store and Mo looking for a particular book. Once he finds this book, InkHeart, this movie really starts to pick up a little. We are intorduced to some characters that was brought to life by his book, and find out that his wife was sent into the book because things were read out of it, apparently that is the way it works, something comes out, someone goes in. From then the movie really starts taking shape with a few twists and turns. I don;t want to give away anymore information though. I give this movie a 6 out of 10, because of the slow start and a few places where you felt like you had to fill in the blanks, but overall this movie is a good movie to sit down with you entire family and watch.

Home Security for a Secure Family Home

I currently rent the place I am living in, and it does not have any type of home security systems. This concerns me some since when the chips are down some people do drastic things such as breaking into homes stealing things. Now while I do not have a lot of things, what I do have I would like to keep, and having a home security system would definitely help protect those things that I want to keep most precious to me, which is my wife and son. The other things can be replaced, but they could never be replaced, and that is what I would most want to protect with a home security system.

Apple disables Sync for Palm Pre

Palm Pre, a good alternative to the iPhone, could be hooked up to iTunes, synced and add music to it using the iTunes software. Not anymore. Apple decided that the competition should not do that and fixed it's software making sure that you can no longer do that any more with the Pre. The Palm Pre has a touch screen and does similar things that the iPhone does, like I said, a good alternative. Now while many might not be using the Pre for a mp3 player, it was still a good way to add music to your phone. I'm sure that there will be a program out there that will be made to help users add music to their Pre's though.

Teen Praised for Being Responsible While Drunk

A 19 year old in Wisconsin went to a Dave Mathews Band concert, where he had done some underage drinking. Once the concert was over he realized that he was too drunk to drive home and wanted to do the right thing in order not to accidentally harm anyone or himself and tried to sleep it off in his car. State troopers woke him from his semi slumber to inform him that he had to leave the parking lot because they had to clear it, even though he told the trooper that he was too drunk to drive and was trying to sleep it off. Once he left the parking lot the State Troopers stopped and arrested him for drunken driving. How messed up is that? Trying to do the responsible and right thing and then get forced to leave and get arrested. Entrapment!!! Well the courts also decided that what the troopers did was wrong, and reversed the original decision by the trial courts which stated that those who choose to drink in excess cannot claim entrapment. The appeals court said that it is not illegal to drink in excess. It is good to hear that this teen chose to do the right thing and is not getting punished for it. No one, however, mentioned the fact that he was underage and was drunk, but I am sure that is a completely different story.

Back in 2004 a mother who was addicted to drugs forced her 7 year old daughter into prostitution. She would lock her in a room and allow men to come into the room and rape her for money so that she could support her drug habit. Way to be a great mother, there are really some sick people out there and no child should ever be treated like that. Too bad she only got 14 years, she should get more because of the trauma she has inflicted on that child for the rest of her life. This was in Italy where she was sentanced, the woman was a Croat Woman. The judgment also came with a fine, 150,000 Euro's to be paid by the mother to the child for the damages she has incurred on her. While I do not believe that will ever be enough or that it will ever be paid, at least the court is trying to help the child out for her treatments.

Bernie Madoff has a place to call home for the rest of his life, seeing as I am sure he will not live out the 150 year sentence that was given to him by a judge just a month ago. His new home is in the federal prison in Butner, NC. Here he will no longer be having dinners with some of the wealthiest members of the world, he will be eating slop with some major criminals. 25th Anniversery Movies: The Last StarFighter & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I might be really showing my age here, but I remember both of these movies and enjoyed both.

The Last Starfighter: This one really got my imagination going and I remember spending hours pretending to be a starfighter. This movie is about a guy who lives in a trailer/rv park and is really good at the game, in fact he has the highest score. Unbeknownst to him though, the game is actually a recruiting game, designed to find a good pilot in the war in space. Once it is found out that he will be a new starfighter, someone comes to recruit him, and has a replacement robot to take his place. At first he refuses and then changes his mind when other aliens come to kill him. Flying off into space and soon recruited he makes new friends, but decides to return home. During this time all of the starfighters are killed, however our hero returns to find out that he is the only one left, the Last Starfighter. He goes on to save the day. This movie is good and has good special effects for being from 1984. Funny thing is some of the things we see in this movie we can now see today, but at the time was very awesome. One such thing was viewing the pictures of an aliens family, all displayed on a card like deal and shuffled through on it. Much like our digital cameras of today. This DVD should be out soon and I hope for some good featurettes on it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Oh how I loved this movie. I loved the cartoon and had several of the toys(some of which I still have and brought out for my son to play with), and to see the movie on the big screen was even more awesome. Turtles who were dropped down into a sewer are radioactivly changed into human sized mutant turtles along with a rat. The rat, Splinter, names them all, Michaelangelo, Leonardo, Donotello, and Rapheal, after famous artists(i think) and trains them in the ways of ninja. Together they remain hidden and fight an gang of Foot soldiers, who are stealing across the city. They face their major villian Shredder. Along with this movie comes packaged not only the original, but also the 3 other movies, TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze, TMNT 3: Turtles in Time and the most recent incarnation that was a CG cartoon simply called TMNT. Now movies 2 & 3 are no where near as good as the first one, but the latest one is really good and can be compared to the first one. These movies will be bundled together in a set soon that will be released on DVD.

Windows 95 on an iPhone, Why?

I pose this question, but I guess the most obvious answer is to see if you can do it. I remember using Windows 95 back in...1995! It took forever to boot up but I was in love with it compared to the older version and some other O/S I never heard of or seen again. Someone installed it on their iPhone using an emulater and shot a video of it.

Reynolds named Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds, who has recently played Deadpool in the Marvel Comics movie Wolverine, is set to play DC's Green Lantern. By doing this he will be the first actor to play in both Marvel and DC movies. Awesome, way to show your acting power Ryan!! He is a great actor and should bring GL justice, and he already has the bod for it, so no worries there. Others have been linked to the project but it appears that Ryan nabbed the role. I thought there was going to be a deadpool spin off, but no word on that yet as far as I can tell, but that might be wrong. Reynolds might be looking for that comic book hero he can make into a franchise in order to nab a 3 movie deal or something. Who knows, but I hope this movie will be a good one.

Concert: No Doubt Featuring Paramore

Yesterday marked the first concert I have been to in nearly 10 years, and I must say watching No Doubt perform was awesome, but before that let me address Paramore, the opening act. While I do not know a whole lot about the band Paramore other than a catchy single, a red headed female singer, and a hit song on the movie Twilight. We got to the venue a little late, however the band was not on yet, so we went to the shirt booth to get a concert shirt. While picking out a shirt we heard thousands of people start to scream(25,000 total in attendance) which we knew meant that they were taking the stage. Paramore started their set with their most popular song, which I could not believe because I thought you built up to that song. By the time we got back to our place on the lawn we finished watching the rest of the performance. For me I did not see nothing great, but then again I did not know any of their songs, which probably would have made the concert better. They put on a good show, it is simply that they are really not my cup of tea. Shortly after they went off they started setting up a new set for No Doubt behind a backdrop. Once all set up a large white backdrop was across te stage with a light behind it, then one figures shadow came into across the white backdrop, then another and another and finally a 4th one, indicating the entire band. The backdrop dropped exposing the band. They were giving a performance that was excellent, dancing around the stage and having a good time with the audience, even pulled one guy on stage to take a picture with him. Fun Times. Gwen changed her outfit 3 different times. the entire set was full of songs from all their albums, alot from Tragic Kingdom, and them some from their other albums, hitting all their popular singles while mingling in some that were not as popular. It was a great concert all around and my wife and I enjoyed ourselves. If you can I would suggest seeing them beofre the concert ends.

Next up concert wise will be the Mayhem tour featuring Slayer and Manson. Should have VIP tickets for it, and then Warped tour, more VIP tickets(free on both courtesy of my friend). After that Blink 182 maybe.

Moving means a new license and tags

I've moved to three different states in the last 2 years due to job movement and then a lack of job and each time I have had to get a new drivers license from the DMV, Department of Motor Vehicles. Each and every state has it's own DMV and each one has its own DMV Locations and Hours. It is always good to find these things out before you go, or else you will be traveling all over the place like I did in Florida in order to get your license switched over. When I moved to Kentucky, I ended up going at the wrong time because I went after they closed for that day, and in Indiana, I went on a Monday but they are closed on Mondays. So as you can see finding the information of DMV Locations and Hours before hand can save a lot of unneeded driving and time.

Can one of the biggest car makers in America make a comeback after it's bankruptcy today? Who knows, but I think it can be done with the right innovative thinking. They need to focus on what sells and not on what could potentially make them the most money like they have in the past. Focusing on the big trucks that bring in the most money like they have in the past will send them directly into the toilet again. However if they focus on what people are buying, then they should be ok. My father in law that works for Gm in one of their plants says that Gm's biggest downfall was when they stopped focusing on improving on the cars they had and tried to expand and build different types of cars. Making improvements and focusing on features for the current models should help. While looking for new models to attract new customers is always worth working on, they should not lose focus on their current customers. I think GM can bounce back, and will.

Don't Dent My Car

I would hate to have to take my car to a bodyshop to get it repaired because somebody hit my car and dented it up. However if I did I would do a search on CollisionRepairExperts.com to find a good auto body shop to take it to get it repaired. Just the thought of someone running into my car and then being without it for a few weeks while it got repaired makes me sad, not that I am deeply in love with my car or anything, just you get used to driving a certain car over the years and driving a rental while your car is at the bodyshop can be different and drive you crazy doing it. Good thing that if I need to get it fixed these guys can do it quickly.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Movie

Although this movie is not due out for another year and a half on Dec 10th, 2010, I still felt as though it should be talked about. This movie will bring back Edmund and Lucy and introduce us to their cousin Eustace who seems to be rather annoying. It should all start when looking at a painting of a ship sailing on the wall all three are transported to Narnia, but are dropped into the sea. They are then picked up by the ship the Dawn Treader, which Caspian is on going on a voyage to look for the missing 7 lords of Narnia. From there the real adventure is to begin. The cast members are set to return to make this movie and I hope it will be as good as the first two. I really liked them so if this one follows the same format then I should like it as well.

Clash of the Titans Remake

Can it be as good as the original? I hope so. I really liked the original, but by today's standards many would think that it might be a little cheesy because the special effects are stop motion. Good for 1981, not so good for viewers 28 years later. Sam Worthington is set to play Perseus, the mortal son of Zeus who is played by Liam Neeson. Sam Worthington recently played Marcus in Terminator Salvation, and I really liked him in that movie, so I hope he can bring justice to this remake. Liam Neeson is also set to play in the A-Team Movie, and recently I seen his movie http://jyncs.blogspot.com/2009/05/dvd-movie-review-taken.html, I think he is a good actor and should be able to play a good Zeus. Ralph Feinnes is set to play Hades, and one of his roles he currently keeps portraying is Lord Voldemor from Harry Potter Series. I really hope they do not fill the movie with a bunch of CG, but make it a good combination. This movie is due out in 2010.

A fifth grade teacher from Sacramento CA gave out DVD's to her students as a retrospective of the school year, filled with pictures and memories. However she gave the students a memory that they are soon to forget, footage of her masturbating, and I am not talking about a side view, a strait on view from down below. Why couldn't I get that lucky when I was in the 5th grade? It was all an accident apparently as she did not intend to have that on there so there is going to be no action taken by the school system. "Micheal was the worlds greatest star" Queen Latifah said, and she could be right. With thousands of fans there and billions around the world watching, who else could bring that many people together. Smokey Robinson started off with a couple of letters from close friends of MJ's, and then the Staples Center was quiet, no words could be heard from the thousands in attendance. The Jackson family came in and took their seats, with all of his brothers sporting a silver glove. Mariah Carey sung her cover of I'll be there and then a pastor said some words all above MJ's golden casket which was brought in shortly after the family seated. Berry Gordy said it best, "King of Pop is not fitting, more like He is the greatest Star the world has seen". A short montoage with some video and pictures of him, the last song said it best, You Are not Alone. Stevie Wonder played a song on the piano and sang in a tribute, and said this is a day he wishes he never lived to see. Lobe Bryant and Magic Johnson said some words of interesting facts, such as that MJ is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only pop star who gave the most to charities. Heather Hudson came out and sung a riveting version of Carry me There. Reverend Al Sharpton came out to say some words as well not only about MJ but also about his family, and said it best, do not focus on the scars from being knocked down, focus on the journey that he made, and ended his speech with a thank you Michael. John Mayer came out and played a song followed by Brooke Sheilds also saying some stories of her and MJ, one about sneaking into Elizabeth Taylors room to get a peek at her dress. You can tell she really cared for him through her stories. She ended her words with a quote from a song "Smile though your hearts are aching" followed by Jermine Jackson coming out and singing the song. Martin Luther King III came and spoke elegantly. Followed by a member of Congress who presented a plaque to let all know that MJ will be remembered forever for not only his musical achievements but also for his humanitarianism. Usher followed this with a song. Somkey Robinson made a small speech with a few funnies thrown in about MJ singing his song at age 10 and doing it better than he, and that MJ is the Greatest Enternanier in the World. Shaheen Jafargholi, who recently won Britians Got Talent, sang a song from MJ's younger days called Who's Loving You and had a few words afterwords. Many singers gathered( I do not know who they are, maybe his backup signers) came together to sang We are the World, and many others joining on stage including his family and children, and showing people outside at different places holding hands and singing, followed by Heal the World. This is what MJ would have wanted I think, people coming together and loving each other. Many of the family members afterwords came on stage and made some statements about their family member that they loved so dearly, and little Paris closing everything off with moving words of love for her father.

This was a good send off to the greatest entertainer in the world, the king of pop, and he really will be missed.

MJ's Mother Loses estate

A week ago Saturday Kline Cash was found by his wife shot in their rural home, Last Wednesday relatives found both Gena Linder Parker and her 83-year-old mother, Hazel Linder, shot dead in the Linder home. Last Thursday Stephen Tyler and his 15-year-old daughter Abby were shot as they were closing the Tyler Home Center. Stephen died that thursday while Abby held on for two more days before passing away on Saturday. Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton has said investigators believe the killings are linked and they are searching for a suspected male serial killer. Be safe everyone there, but do not let it run your lives and make you lock yourselves inside, that is what the person wants, the fear he instills in you. Do not let him have that fear.

Disney Monorails Collide, 1 Killed

Early Sunday morning at 2 am, 2 Monorail Trains that takes patrons of the Disney Theme Park in Florida collided head on killing one driver and injuring others. The monorail has been temporarily closed Disney says to mourn the loss of their fellow cast mate, I say it is to do repairs. Anyone who has lived in Florida knows you can throw a stone and find someone who has worked at the Disney Park, so with all those employees I'm sure they knew them personally. Anyway the trains are supposed to be automated to prevent this kind of things happening. While they are still looking into the reason why it happened, there are many speculations. Virtual Money Cashed in for Real Money

this normally cannot be done. Usually you can buy game money for real money, but never have you been able to take money that you have earned in a game and cash it in for real money. That is legally anyway.

In most games if a leader of a company/faction decides to rip off the company and leave with the loot making himself richer and screwing over other players, it is ok, it is part of the game. But in the case of the game EVE, the CEO of the player ran company eBank took 200 billion of players Interstellar Kredits(game currency) and traded it for real money using a black market site. He ended up getting around $5100 dollars to pay off some bills. Wow, way to ruin your reputation.

I think he was banned from the game for this, but unsure.

The Game to be on the A-Team

With an A-Team movie in development, there are all kinds of rumors on who is going to play who. The latest is that The Game is targeted to play B.A. Barracus, which was originally played by Mr.T. We'll see. I just do not see The Game being a good fit. Another rapper that was linked to the role was Common, but he signed on for another movie already and would not be able to do it. I could see Common in the role, but not The Game. Other big stars have been cast already such as Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper. This is a movie I would want to see, but not if it looks like it will be lame.

Is this news worthy? A Police Officer made an arrest minutes after graduating from the New York police academy when he seen a man get robbed. I say no, this should have stayed to the local news stations and papers. I mean, I am glad that someone is enthusiastic about keeping crime off of streets, but this particular story is in no way affect everyone nationally. Of course now he will get all kinds of attention and probably end up on a TV Show like Ellen(not dissing her, I do like her show!). This could have stayed in the local news and not really made it to the national level in my opinion. However, with so many bad things going on in the world right now, it is nice to hear some good things going on as well, so I can see it from this angle.

Universal Studios Shoots for Asteroids and Wins

Universal Studio's won the rights to making the movie of the classic video game Asteroids. Remember the old game? a triangle that you use as your ship and you fly it around shooting at strangely shaped blocks that represent asteroids? Well I do, and the good thing about this movie will be that there is nothing to expect, no story line that they have to follow because it was since a simple game with no back story they can create it basically from scratch. Of course it will probably be space based, because if not, why need the name? So Universal Studios is going to create this movie with no back story and paid basically for the name. I hope they do a good job because even though by today's standards the game is simple, it was fun back in the day!

Is this News Worthy? Recently Gene Simmons of the once(and I guess to some people still) famous band Kiss made a statement a few days ago about Adam Lambert coming out that he was gay. He said that Lambert killed his career because he came out to the world and now the attention is not on his music but rather his sexual preference. What I say is that Gene is an idiot, Adam told us what everyone already knew or suspected just to get it out of the way, and now he can focus more on his music. Gene comes from a time when coming out like that would have been all the talk, now when someone comes out, it's not that big of a deal, and most of the time you already know or suspect. No big deal. But Gene wanting more press because people are forgetting about him and he cannot stand it decided to make the comment so that he can ride the curtails of Adam. So is this news worthy? I do not think we should, but then again here I am writing about it so it is kinda hippocratic isn't it.

Losing September

This local band that plays in Indiana and surrounding areas rocks. This is my second time seeing them and even though they are playing the local bar that does not have a whole lot of people in it, maybe 30 at the most, they still put on a spectacular show as if there were a 100 people or more. While I do not know all of their song titles, I have my favorite which is called Washington Street. The first time I seen them they had not played it a lot and and even though they said they messed up it still sounded awesome. With some bands you hear the recorded music and it sounds great, but when you hear them live, it completly sucks. Well this is not that band, from the vocals to the guitars to the bass and to the drums, it all sounds just as it would on the CD or MP3. Great job guys, there are not a lot of bands that are like that. I really love the guitars and how they complement each other, and when all three guitars are going together, you can distinctly hear all three without one taking away from the other. The bass and drums really complement the entire group and really help to make the songs impact with the deep bass lines. Speaking of drums, the drummer is one of the most animated drummer I have ever seen, and I like that, it really adds to the entire band. Good sound with good lyrics. This is a band that I can see going national and then on to worldwide if they keep it up. If not then the world will be at a loss of the music they create.

Thank goodness for Alaskans, and I am sorry if you really like her, but her time really is up, or at least we hope. After interviews that did not go well making her look like and idiot, and in my opinion bringing the hopes of John McCain reaching presidency, to a teen daughter whose pregnancy was in focus as well. It might be the best thing to do at the moment. From my personal opinion she seemed like she was about as bright as a bar of soap. Good thing she is stepping down, but could it only be to regroup her team so she can put in her bid for running for president? Who knows and lets hope not, she would not have made it as a VP, let alone as one running the country. Again, sorry if you like her, but to me she was only put into the election so that they could try and win the votes that was lost from Hilary followers on the Dem side, and it did not work. It might have if she did not talk, but she did. Goodbye Palin, we can only hope your days in politics are long behind you now!

Megan Fox Disses own Movie, Bay Says I Made You!!!

Recently Megan Fox said in an interview basically that in the new Transformers movie there was too much CG stuff, and that the movie is not about acting. Way to diss your own movie that you are acting in. Well M. Bay says basically that he makes stars in his movies( kinda arrogant if you ask me, but he does have a track record of good movies, and that if he did not out her in his movie that she would not have gotten that break into Hollywood, and claims that other actors such as Ben Affleck, Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, and Shia LaBoeuf have launched their careers by just being in his movies. Ok, this one is a little hard to believe as Will and Martin were already stars before hand, I'm sure it helped but it did not make or break them in my opinion. Shia already was getting into films, though none of them were blockbusters yet, but he was making his way slowly but surely. Bay also said Megan had some growing up to do as she was still fresh in the business at age 23. Ok, I'll give you that one.

MJ's public memorial finally was announced recently and is going to take place in the Staples Center in downtown LA California. I am thinking there will be many of his fans from around the world that will be there, and the stadium only holds about 20,000 people but there is rumored to be large screen tv's that will be broadcasting the event in the Nokia Plaza that is close by. I am assuming that this will happen, thought I could be wrong. The details are still being hashed out but one can only assume that this will not be an actual funeral, but a memorial for all the fans to come together and mourn their favorite King of Pop. It is a tragedy and even though more details about his death are becoming more and more public, he will be missed for the music he created.

It is almost college time again, and I have an option to get more student loans again for college and to help me out so I do not have to work as much as I normally do and focus more on school. The problem I run into is the fact that I think about the future a lot and while the money seems good to have in the short term, the long term of things is what I think about, because all of that will need to be paid back to the lenders. Of course I am also thinking about student loan consolidation after I get out of college, which is just a matter of three more sememsters. I will have 10 years to pay them off, but I would rather do it sooner than later, and hopefully the economy will have turned around by then and I will find a good paying job in the field I am going for, so paying the student loans will not be a problem, however a student loan consolidation would put them all under one payment and pay them all off at once instead of several different payments. This would also help me to pay of any credit cards I might have, even though I only have two with low maximums, because I like to play it a little safe. I am hoping that everything works out in the end and my student loans will not be a problem, but right now I need to decide, take out more loans or just suffer through it all, and it is a big decision that can affect my family and future.

I seen this trailer for this movie when I went to see transformers, and it looks very interesting. Instead of us going out into the world as ourselves, we have these robotic copies that we can connect to and have all the feelings and such that they do through a machine. Sounds cool, no worries about getting mugged or raped or whatever because it is not actually you, it is a robotic copy, and who really wants to rape a robotic copy? No worries about getting a disease and all that jazz. Sounds good until somebody dies while hooked up to their surrogate that gets killed. Suddenly everything changes, the world is not as safe as they thought it was. The officials will try to keep things quiet while one person decides to leave their place and venture out into the world without their surrogate in order to solve the crimes of these people dying and figure out what is going on. I got all this from the trailer, and it seems pretty interesting and a fun movie to watch. It will star Bruce Willis as the main actor in the movie, and will revolve around him being the one who goes out into the real world. This movie is due out Sept 25th of this year.

Kevin Jonas gets engaged to his longtime girlfriend, however long time in this world is not as long as you think. They have only been dating for a little more than 2 years, and in my book that is not a long time in Hollywood. Long time for me there would be like 5-10 years, as most marragies in Hollywood do not last that long, some only last more a year or so before the celeb decides to move on. It might be different with him though as he is supposed to be all rightous and stuff. Whatever, if he is kudos to him, if not, then the world might never know unless they come out and say it. Anyone want to bet to see how long it will last? That is if they even make it to the alter to get married.

Yes everyone, we are still in trouble, the economy is still not making the turn around everyone is hoping for yet, and people are still losing their jobs. Unfortunately this is probably still going to rise before if will finally get better. While we can look at some basic economy issues, everyone must be aware that this is the way the economy works. It has its ups and downs and fluctuates all the time. While usually it does not hit us as hard, this fluctuation is really bad, and can show us how bad it can get. Good news is that eventually the economy will rise, once we start getting business' more money in their pockets, but of course to do that these business' also need to lower the price of their products as much as they can afford so we start buying more. For those of us still lucky to have our jobs, now is the best time to find out the best deals to buy things and go on trips, I know I am, but doubt I can afford anything of the sort at the moment until I save a few more dollars!!

The latest news about Michael Jackson is that we was using drugs. Apparently he was abusing pain pills and prescription drugs, begging for certain drugs from his nutritionist and others who kept warning him or would not prescribe them to him. Could this be the cause of his death? Maybe I was wrong to say the family should not have a second autopsy! I am wrong on occasions and not afraid to admit it. Now the DEA is getting involved and it has became more of a federal case now looking into how he got the drugs and such I guess.

This site does not host the shows, but gathers the links for all of the different shows online, which makes it way easier to look for those shows instead of having to look through lots of different sites. Having the link directly to the show makes it a lot easier than having to search through a site looking for it. For example, I was looking for a show for my son and I to watch because he was upset that it was not on, so I started looking on the site of the show and after about a half hour of not being able to get to the place of where the show was located, we gave up and went on to play a game. Planet 51 Movie Trailer

This movie looks funny. It is a Cg cartoon movie about a guy who is exploring another planet, and finds out that he is the alien, that he landed on someone else's planet, with a population not much different than our own despite the green skin and antennae. It looks like it will be a fun and good family movie to take everyone out for on Thanksgiving weekend.

New Albums from Older Groups

Looking through the upcoming releases of some albums from various artists I see alot of older groups coming out with some new albums. When I say older I mean groups that were popular 10+ years ago but have since fallen off the grid or not seen commercial success like they once did.

Bone Thugs N Harmony will release their newest album called UNI5. I remember them when I was in high school with the song Crossroads, and the video was awesome as well. I wonder if they can ever make a comeback. This album is do to release on September 22nd, but I cannot find anything official.

Moby released his newest album yesterday. He has been around for years and many of his songs were used for comercials and everything else. He has seen success in many different ways, will this album called Wait for Me help him to keep the career going?

Wu-Tang also released yet another album yesterday called Chamber Music. They have many loyal fans, and I must admit I like some of their music, depending on my mood. My question is with so many different albums continually coming out each year, how do you create the suspense for your fan base for the new album? But with so many different members the talent there to create album after album and still keep things fresh is always there!

Our Lady Peace has an album due to release within a month or so as well. I remember in the 90's they had the single Superman's Dead, and then some time later had another album with a new single called Somewhere Out There, but did not make the same success as the first single. I still have the first album and pull it out every once and while, but I do not know if they can recreate the success with that first single and album again.

Third Eye Blind is another I remember from early in the 2000's, but have not heard a whole lot lately from them. I am wondering if they can get back to the status they once were, they will definatly have to put out some singles with some catchy lyrics again for us to be really interested.

There are many others, I just touched on a few for right now.

14 year old girl only survivor of plane crash

Since I am on the subject of survival, a 14 year old girl so far is the only survivor of a plane crash that happened. Yemenia Airbus 310 went down in the sea near the Comoros Islands. Out of 153 passengers she has been the only person to be found alive so far. Lucky kid, unfortunately her mother was also on the plane and feared dead. She reportedly held onto a part of the plane for about 13 hours in the water until she signaled a passing boat that rescued her. What a brave girl to be able to do all that and survive.

Dogs are Crazy

I work at night and usually do not get off of work until early in the morning. Today I got woke up by the sound of my wife screaming at me to get up because they had just gotten ran over by a car. I jump up still in my undies and peek outside real quick to see one, Tinker, still laying in the road. What happened was my wife let them out to use the restroom and they seen another dog across the street and went chasing after him instead of going directly to the backyard. The car did not even stop, they just kept on going. Assholes. My wife ran out there to get that dog(she ran through the house to wake me up because she was worried our 3 year old son would run out there and get hurt as well) and she ran out there and grabbed her up and she was still breathing. The other dog, Buster, ran to the back porch and was laying down there. According to my wife and the guy walking his dog, Buster got hit worst and flipped around and Tinker got hit the least, don't know why she was lying in the road still. I took them both to the vet to get them checked out, and suprisingly every things is ok, no fluid on the lungs and their vitals and heart beat all seemed normal. We will keep a close eye on them but they should be ok. Thank goodness!!! Usually when a 7lb and 11lb dogs get hit by a car, it usually is not good!

Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Outcast

I started reading this book about a month and a half ago and have finished it the other day. Unlike the other Star Wars Series I was reading, Coruscant Nights, this book left me entertained and kept my interest in it. This is the first book of a total of 9, and sets up the entire series. After the events of the series with Jacen/Cadeus in the previous series, the Galactic Government feels that the Jedi are to blame for Jacen's decent to the dark side, and feels that they must pay for their actions of not stopping him before he fell so far. In a deal to keep the Jedi active, Luke Skywalker decided to take full blame for it and gets banished from Coruscant and any contact with the Jedi, unless he can find what caused Jacen to fall so he can stop it next time. Meanwhile, Valin Horn has went awol thinking that everyone he knows has been replaced by an impostor, and the other Jedi all have accompaniment in the form of documentary video shooters. This gives the Jedi trouble as they are now slowly becoming under the control of the government instead of being advisers. Luke's son Ben has decided to go along with his father and their first stop is to the planet home of the Kel Dor, where they intend to learn what Jacen learned from the local form of the Jedi, the Baron Do Sages, only to find some interesting things about their culture that goes all the way back to the Jedi Purge. This book is very interesting and I really enjoyed it, it was written by Aaron Allston, and I really enjoy his writing style. The next book is called Omen written by Christie Golden and is out all ready. I have not read any of her books, but I am hoping that she writes in a good style as well that keeps me interested.

Madoff gets a new High Number!

Bernie Madoff, who stole a lot of money from people using a scheme, got sentenced today for 150 years in prison, so basically he will be in prison for the rest of his life. That sucks, all for what? Money? Does money matter so much that you have to con people out of it just to live the high life? For me no, it will never mean that much. The judge over the Madoff case, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin, said he needed to send a clear message to any others out there doing this, that this will not be tolerated.

"Here the message must be sent that Mr. Madoff's crimes were extraordinarily evil and that this kind of manipulation of the system is not just a bloodless crime that takes place on paper, but one instead that takes a staggering toll," Chin said.

His schemes impacted many, and many people lost money, even big namers like Steven Spielberg and Kevin Bacon. Think he got the message? Do Not Mess With Other People's Money!!!!

Not a good week for Celebs and Semi Celebs

this week has not been a good one, first we lost Ed McMahon. Then we lost both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson on the same day. Now our favorite TV pitch guy has been found dead. Looks like now is a good time to escape Hollywood. He was found unresponsive in his Florida home by his wife, and an autopsy should be done by this afternoon. Now I am sure that there sill not be people piling into the streets over him, but he is still worth remembering as he has built his empire of selling things into a millionaire business. Good job Billy, and may your family be well.

Daybreakers Trailer

I don't know a whole lot about this film, and read somewhere I think that it is based off a comic book, maybe maybe not, let me know if it is. I watched the trailer and am intrigued. A world where almost all of the population is vampires and humans are farmed for their blood. Sounds like an idea for a movie I had years ago that I wrote about recently, not the idea but the making a movie part. Anyway, they population at large is vampires, and their blood supply seems to be going away, as they have farmed all they could. now it seems that the main hero(Ethan Hawke) has found a cure and is going to help a group of humans that are hidden. Sounds like a good movie with action and a little sci fi, my type of movie. This movie has a release date of January 8, 2010 though, so we still have to wait about 6 months before viewing it, though I do not know why.

PS3 to lower price, or Too litle Too late?

Sony has announced that it could drop the price of it's Playstation 3, which has been lagging in sales compared to the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's X-Box 360. Of course it could be the price, what else could it be. The Wii's go for $250 while the cheapest X-Box is somewhere in that range. The PS3? $399, and has remained that way since its debut. So now why the sudden change of heart? Why suddenly talk about reducing the price? Big Reason, Activision, the largest independant game developter. They are threatening to drop the PS3 and PSP if the price does not drop, simply because the games sold for the console is not there and does not support creating the games for the system. Obviously he has a good point, as I'm sure it costs lots of money to create different versions of the game for different consoles, and if the company is not making money, then why continue with a failing market. There is also other things to think about, some games such as Guitar Hero require additional hardware to play the game, so not only are you shelling out $400 for the system, but more just to play some games. If Sony does not cut the prices by this fall, then I can see the playstation falling into that hole that swallowed Sega system.

DVD Movie Review: The Spirit

My wife actually wanted to see this movie, and we rented it and watched it. We both actually enjoyed it, and she surprisingly suspected it was done by the same guy who did Sin City, Frank Miller(though Miller did not direct Sin City, he was there for the creativity side and direction it went). This was a good movie,with a good story about the good vs evil. With a twist of course, as the evil created the good, and the good had a thing with the ladies, suave, very suave. Overall I give this movie a 7 out of 10, simply because for me the begining took a little long to set up the entire movie, and I was somewhat bored with it at first during the first 30 minutes or so while it took the time to set the movie up. However once it started getting good it was good. For those of you out there that enjoy a good detective movie and comic books to boot, this would be a great movie for you to watch as it is the best of both worlds.

I was doing some research on the video game that I did a post on before, and found out that there is a new movie in the works. This is awesome, because the first two movies were so good and enjoyable, that a new generation will be introduced to these great movies by having a third one. It is reported that all of the original cast will be back in the third one(let's hope anyway). The story is being hashed out and that means that they are really going for a good movie with a good story, not just throwing things together to try and cash in on the good movies of the past, like so many other movies have done. I hope it gets done, and I hope it gets done well!

Is This News? Another Naked Guy

is this news worthy? A guy was found sitting nude at a campsite in Rabun County, Georgia. No, this should not be worth writing a story about and giving it national coverage, people are found nude all the time and does not get reported clear across the country, locally I can see it happening. The difference in this story? The fact that the man that was found actually used to be a mayor of a city in the state of Georgia. Ok, still not worth national news as he was just a Mayor, not a former governor or senator, this was just a mayor. Important to the local community, but not to all of us in the public at large, seriously, I doubt we could care too much about it. At least I do not. This is not news worthy!

Let him Rest!

Let Michael Jackson rest. I know the family is looking for answers, but having a second autopsy will not change the fact that he has died, so let him rest. No one suspects foul play, and there is no evidence to say otherwise, I say let the man rest, and let us remember his life and celebrate that(as I have said in other posts). And now there is also arguments about who will get his children, and really I have no clue who should get them, but I know he would not want his father raising them. I am sure there is a will that says who the will be staying with. Also there is a debate on whether there will be a public funeral or a private one. Well if it is a private one, they should still have some sort of public deal for the fans, as the fans will want something so they can mourn their King of Pop. All this debate and wonder on what will happen now, so what do you think will happen now?

I took my son to the fair today, the same fair I went too. Yes it still had a few of the same rides I rode when I was younger, and things were still set up similar, however the feeling that if gave off was not the same. It used to be fun, and though my son had fun at the fair, my wife and I did not. Maybe it as because the cost of everything, tickets were $1 a piece, and the rides were each 3-5 tickets per ride. Luckily we bought a all you can ride bracelet pass, which was perfect since my son wanted to go down the bouncy slide over and over again. Maybe 50-60 times he did. He enjoyed riding down the slide, and one time he even got 2 girls to hold his hand while sliding down, he is already being slick with the ladies at age 3. We had corn dogs and elephant ears, and the fair smells brought back memories. Maybe it was just we imagined things different because 10 years ago we were different people, barely out of high school when we moved away from this town, and now we have lived in different states, been to different places and could not wait to go to the fair we remembered. It's one of those lessons of not putting things on this high pedestal, because it might not be as high as you think it really is.

beastie Boys making a weird album?

Beastie Boys are coming out with a self proclaimed "weird album", exactly what is weird these days, different maybe, but not weird. the title of this album is supposed to be called Hot Sauce Committee Part 1, and released on September 15 of this year. I hope they bring the same type of music we expect from them whatever style they want to do, good music. That is what we expect and have been getting now for over 20+ years.
I cannot wait as I really like them and cannot wait to see what they bring out next. For those of you that cannot wait or are looking to get to know their music, they are reissuing some more copies of their previous albums soon.
